Requested tutorial~:D sorry for the page stretch :XD:
I've had a few notes and comments about this, so i've made a tutorial that shows what you guys have asked for. Mainly coloring, characters (which I didn't touch on too much D: sorry xD), composition, lighting, and some others.

I actually got more notes about this after posting a recent deviation 'Gift Wrap' [link] so here's the gift~:D

And I'm sorry if I typed too much XD. I didn't want to be too vague and I wanted this tutorial to be as user-friendly as possible.

If there are parts that are confusing or if you guys have any questions, feel free to ask:D I'll answer them to the best of my ability. But I'm not a pro or anything, okay? XD I'm just 14 OTL

Hiya....sorry to bother...but I'm a bit confused about blending. I feel I do understand the blending way and I do follow the methods but all it does is to make it dark and a very little blending. Do you have to do some smudging along with it? You know what I mean? It's really hard to explain. :)

Um, I think I sort of understand, but I don't really recommend smudging--as in use the smudge tool--but you still could. Best bet's using the eyedropper tool or your alt button, as you can pick between colors while your brush has a low opacity or flow setting. I'm sorry, it's kind of hard to explain too XD

Hey! I just finished my work. It's probably not good at all but I think I'll improve! :D
