Shambles by kureo95
Shambles
An illustration I did a while back for school, meant as a comic cover (complete with all the layout things like headline, sub headline, barcode, violators, logo, etc etc.), and here's the no text version. The robot was rendered in Illustrator using only the letters R, O, B, T, A of the typeface Eurostile with 3D effects added for the uh, 3D effect. The rest was painted in Photoshop. I slaved over this and all the text I had to put on it for a couple of days, but overall it's probably one of my favorite school plates (since I got to paint yayy ♥). I called the comic 'Shambles: The One-Legged Giant', where the 'comic' is about the discovery of this long since abandoned robot in a time where robots have been forgotten (a sort of post-post-apocalyptic setting), and the story follows the uncovering of the history behind it and the past it came from. There's no actual comic since we were only tasked to make the cover for it, but it was fun coming up with the story behind the cover ♥

Quick Interstellar speed paint because I have so much love for this movie and I don't think I'll get over it any time soon. It's just WOW and pure amazing and awesome and I just   Definitely worth the watch (although if you're not one for lots of science and/or some pretty heavy and dramatic stuff, it might not be for you. Still really good though)

A commission I did some time ago for Rabid Hamster Workshop, LLC! This is the awesome warrior princess Christine Hawthorne. This bust portrait was patterned after a certain deviation of mine, so if it looks similar, that's why ;)

Long time no see!
I haven't been that active over here (which I've recently been trying to make up for), but I'm still alive! Life's been really busy, but awesome, and I hope to share all that eventually over here.
Otherwise, here are other places where you can find me:

:star: ArtStation: I got an invite to join this site and will be posting up the polished, portfolio works I have over there. New CG works/Illustrations/pro things will most likely get posted over there before here.

:star: DrawCrowd: pretty much the same as my ArtStation account, except I'll also be posting some concept works and more draftsy/sketchy things there.

:star: Tumblr: I'm most active here as of the moment, where I constantly post speedpaints, fanart, doodles, etc. Everything gets posted here, and probably even way before they're posted anywhere else, so check it out if you want to see my random art farts almost immediately after they're..farted. I also take fanart requests there (although depending on how interested/fangirlish I am there, I may or may not get it done that soon)--just send an ask! You can also message me there and I'm totally open to answering questions or just hellos or messages of friendship

ALSO, like I said before, I'll be doing another sort of giveaway! This time, it won't be a first come, first served thing, or a trade--this is just for fun and happiness. To anyone who wants a free painting/illustration from me, I'll be doing any number of them under these conditions:
:bulletorange: The request is of an OC of yours (or two/three) that I find interesting (in terms of design, story, personality, relationship, etc). Creatures/animals are OK. You can also add descriptions of them doing something/hanging out somewhere/etc.
:bulletorange: The request is for fanart (from a fandom/fandoms that I'm familiar with pls) where the character/s are in an interesting situation/doing something interesting/funny/badass/cool/etc (like AUs and headcanons). Fandoms include TV shows, anime, books, comics, manga, games, and films*

All you have to do is comment the details of your potential freebie and include at least two references (for the OC request). I'll draw the ones I personally find interesting/fun to draw, BUT not necessarily in the exact way that you described them. This is really just for fun, and the works will show up either soon or much later, but the idea is to share them ideas and stories and for me to draw something for you guys because it's always fun to draw for others  So let's have fun :meow:

Thanks for dropping by and sticking with me! Thank you too, new watchers, for adding me!

*some of my current 'fandoms' include Onepunch-man, Hunter x Hunter, Free!, KnB, One Piece, SnK, Haikyuu!!, Sengoku Basara, Sherlock, Hannibal, Disney/Pixar/Dreamworks, Marvel movies (and generally some of the recent action/sci-fi/mystery movies), among others. The ones I mentioned have a higher probability of getting chosen (especially the first few ones), but I've watched/read and loved a lot of others as well, so just comment and I'll just say if I'm not into that particular fandom or if I'm unfamiliar with it.

disclaimer: the freebies will be done during my breaks/free time, so some will turn out sketchy, or doodley, and others might end up more polished or in different styles. Again, this is for fun and happiness, so there's no one who's 'special' in terms of what kind of freebie they get. :peace:

Nice gallery and art/color style.
Came across your work when I logged in. To be more specific, The Typhoon Commute. When I first saw it, and read the description, it gave a Philippines vibe to me (I'm also Filipino), which then intrigued me enough to check out your other works. And I gotta say, your coloring style is interesting. The color's blend and stand out pretty well/perfectly (At least for me). Besides that, you're pretty good with cartoony, anime, semi and realistic art styles. You've pretty much earned my respect and admiration as an artist.

But I have a question that others below have pretty much asked for already/similarly-ish, can you help me with improving my Digital art? I only started studying Digital art seriously in the last two weeks, and I plan on taking it further. I can understand if you're busy, cause I have College classes too that occasionally get in the way of practice.

Thank you very much! I'm really not sure how to help! I usually just say that all it takes is a lot of constant practice, really. So I guess I can try to help with whatever you're having trouble with? I can tell you some of the things I know about Photoshop, but otherwise, Digital art is just like traditional art, only you have this great Undo feature and things like layers and being able to mass produce your work. It's just a matter of learning the software and then drawing/painting/coloring your way, and like I said (and everyone says), a lot of practice. So yeah, I'll try my best to help with what you're having trouble with, so if you have any questions just feel free to ask! Thanks again! I know how college can really get in the way haha

Hey! Thank you!
You're not bugging me at all! Of course it's all about practice hahaha, and just drawing and drawing. I recommend, well, just drawing over and over. if there's something that you want to draw, draw it, and keep drawing it until you get it right or in a way that you like it to be. Draw whatever you like/what interests you/what you want to share with others, and if there are some things that you can't seem to get right, grab a reference or two or look at a mirror! I don't really check out tutorials--I mostly just look at other people's works and fangirl over the things I like about them and aspire and practice to be able to create something as good.
That's mostly my general ideas on improving--just keep drawing! If there are specific things you want to know, or other questions you want to ask, feel free to ask! I'll be happy to help c:

You're a wonderful person  Have a nice day too!
